FreeStyle 2 All Stars 2009

OVERVIEW
FreeStyle 2 All Stars 2009 will be the main tournament for FreeStyle at Level Up! Live 2009. A total of 16 teams will participate in the tournament: eight (8) teams will clash in the quarterfinals, five (5) from the Regionals, one (1) from the Wildcard, one (1) from the FS Club Wars, and the 2008 FS Champion.

Regionals: There will be FS 2 Tournaments held in 5 regions (Manila, Luzon1, Luzon2, Visayas and Mindanao), Champions for each region will qualify for the Quarterfinals playoffs

Wildcard: the top 1 club/clan with the highest number of votes will get to join the Quarterfinal playoffs.

FS Club Wars: Club Representatives will get a chance to battle it out with all participating clubs by Elimination. The Club who wins will get a spot in the Quarterfinals playoffs. Minimum of 2 teams per club. Event will run from March 8, 2009 to May 17, 2009

2008 FS Champion – the 2008 FS Champion is seeded to the Quarterfinals playoffs

Top 4 teams will advance to the FreeStyle 2 All Stars 2009 semi-finals at Level Up! LIVE 2009.


REGIONALS (5 Areas)

Schedule:

South Luzon : Batangas – May 23
North Luzon : Baguio – June 14
Visayas: Cebu – June 21
Mindanao: Davao – July 11
NCR: Manila: July 18


- Registration forms will be available at the entrance of the participating internet café venue
- All teams must have three members each, with one member appointed as Team Captain.
- No level Requirements
- No item limitations
- Pay a registration fee of 300 pesos per team.

All participants will receive a Goodie Bag (TBD) + 50 LU Load. (1 per member)

MECHANICS:

  1. One member will be designated as the Team Captain and will be in charge of registering and representing the whole team to confirm results and technical discussions
  2. All Matches will be held in Rookie, Special Events, and Arena Mode
  3. Home court will be determined via coin toss
  4. Losers’ home court for the succeeding matches
  5. All matches will be held in tournament bracket format: best of 3 matches (race to 2 wins) until the Final round
  6. The Finals match will be best of 5 matches (race to 3 wins)
  7. A team must be represented by at least 2 unique positions (i.e. 2 Forwards and 1 Guard or 1 Center and 2 Guards etc.).
  8. The team that has most points at the end of match wins
  9. The decision of the Referees, Game Masters, and tournament officials ARE FINAL. 
          
FS CLUB WARS

Schedule: March 8 to May 31, 2009
Registration: March 2 to March 6, 2009
Tournament:

  • Registration of FS Club Representatives is from March 2 to March 6, 2009
  • Maximum of 2 Teams per Club.
  • Each Team must have 3 members each, with 1 member appointed as Team Captain.
  • All clubs (new or old  are encouraged to join.
  • First come, first served.
  • Only a maximum of 48 teams will be allowed to join.
  • Registration of teams must be sent to playfreestyle@levelupgames.ph. Confirmation will be sent to the players upon receipt. No confirmation means registration is not valid.
  • No level requirements
  • No item limitations
  • Schedule of tournament will be announced.
  • Actual Tournament will be made online and teams will be assisted by the GMs.
  • Event will run from March 8, 2009 to May 31, 2009
  • All 3 players/team must be a premium user

MECHANICS:

2. Tournament will be held in Rookie, Special Events, and Arena Mode
3. Home court will be determined via coin toss by a GM
4. All matches will be held in tournament bracket format: Single Death Match until only 6 teams are left.
5. The remaining 6 teams will now play with a tournament format: Best of 5 Matches / Race to 3 Wins.
6. Only 3 teams will make it to the finals.
7. The Finals match will be Round Robin.
8. A team must be represented by at least 2 unique positions (i.e. 2 Forwards and 1 Guard or 1 Center and 2 Guards etc.)
9. The team that has the most points at the end of match wins
10. Change in the line-up will automatically cause the whole team to be DISQUALIFIED. There will be NO SUBSTITUTE!
11. If a certain player cannot make it on the tournament event’s date, it’s the responsibility of the team leader to have someone utilize that same account. PILOTS ARE ALLOWED as long as same line-up is playing.
12. GMs/ The decision of the Referees, Game Masters, and tournament officials ARE FINAL.



WILDCARD

Registration: April 6 – April 17, 2009
Voting: May 4 – July 31, 2009

  • Club leaders must register their clubs in the FS Boards. Club leaders must reply to the thread that will be created by FSMisty.
  • Registration:
Nomination phase: Arpil 13, 2009 – May 13, 2009 (cut off - 4:00 PM)
Announcement of Nominees: May 15, 2009
Voting phase: May 27, 2009 – August 10, 2009 (cut off - 4:00 PM)
Announcement of Qualifiers: August 12, 2009

• How to Nominate

  • All Clubs (new or old) are eligible to join.
  • Club leaders/Club Represenatives must register their Clubs in the FS Boards. Club leaders must reply to the thread that will be created by FSMisty.  

• How to Vote

  • Every time you use your blingy, you will receive voting points that you can use to vote through the Voting Page.
100 blingy = 1 point
* There must be a purchase of any item.

  • Take note of the EXACT club name of the club you wish to nominate.
  • Choose the club you wish to vote.
  • Enter the entire club name or the key words of the club you wish to nominate. A list of clubs with key words will appear. Remember to choose the right name of the club you wish to vote.
  • Assign voting points you wish to give that club and press SUBMIT.
  • You will see a confirmation message and your voting points updated.

PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Players must follow the rules interpretations and guidelines set forth by the FreeStyle All Stars Tournament Committee, the Tournament Director, the head judge, and other tournament officials.
    • Players are expected to behave in a respectful and sporting manner at all times.
    • Players who argue with or fail to follow the instructions of the Tournament Director, head judge or other tournament officials are subject to the appropriate penalties as dictated by the severity of the case
    • Level Up! and/or officials of the FS All Stars 09 Tournament Committee reserve the right to suspend or ban a player or guild without prior notice for any reason deemed necessary.
    • The decision of the Referees, Game Masters, and tournament officials ARE FINAL.
    • Level Up! has the right to change/delete portions/expound/clarify/interpret tournament rules depending on circumstances as they see fit for a fair and balanced competition environment.
