REGIONAL TOURNAMENT
I. OVERVIEW
The FlyFF HoDET is the official Flyff tournament for Level Up! Live 2009. Elimination matches will be held in 6 pre-selected areas nationwide – four in Luzon, one in Visayas and one in Mindanao, directly followed by a finals match to determine the area’s champion. There will be 32 parties of 8 individuals per area, but only one team from the entire Regionals leg will move up to the Grand Finals at LU! Live.
II. Eligibility
- Participants must be players of Flyff-PH.
- Participants must form a team of eight (8) players.
- Teams are allowed to have members coming from different servers.
- Level Up! Employees and their relatives up to the 2nd degree of affinity and consanguinity are disqualified from joining any category, stage and phase of the HoDET.

IV. TOURNAMENT MECHANICS
1. HOW TO JOIN
A. REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE TOURNAMENT
- Interested Teams/Guilds must fill out the HoDET Registration Form and submit it personally at the regionals leg they wish to join Participants’ team leader can print out the copy available here or you can get a copy on the site.
- Team must have eight (8) members.
- Application Fee. Teams/Guilds must present P100php worth of unused top-up card per member (P800 unused top-up card per team) as application fee for the tournament
- Application Rules
- Only Team/Guild Leaders can register their team and pay the application fee.
- A Team/Guild and Participant/Character can only register once per area.
- Teams/Guilds can register for any of the areas in the Regionals. However, once a team/guild or participant/character win’s in a leg or any HoDET qualification slot the team/guild or participant/character can no longer participate in the other Regional tournament; vie for a Wildcard slot, or a Guild War Slot.
- Teams/Guilds that fail to show up at the tournament proper and pay the application fee will forfeit their slot in the Regionals. They have until 11AM of the event day to duly solidify their registration.
- Only the first 32 teams that complete the registration process by 11AM will be given slots in the Regional leg.
- Tournament Kit. This will be given after a team/guild has successfully accomplished the registration process. Tournament Kit contents:

B. REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT
2. LIMITATIONS
- Server: Tournament Server
- Tournament Account: Pre-generated characters.
- Tournament Arena: DCGW Arena
- Tournament Accounts provision.
- Regional Representative Tournament: accounts will be given during the briefing or after the registration.
- Regional Championship Tournament: accounts will be e-mailed on July 31 (10:00PM).
- Match Ups.
- Regional Representative Tournament - There will be a maximum of 32 teams per area, Match-ups will be drawn on the spot and announced after.
- Regional Championships - Match up is pre-determined. Please refer to the tournament Tree below.
- Pilots are allowed. But a pilot may not represent more than 1 team/guild.
- The tournament officials shall be coordinating only with the team leaders regarding their teams/line up.
- Set – up Time: 10 minutes
- Re-supplying, a new set of supplies will be given to the team/guild leader every match not every round. This means your team will only get a new batch of supplies if you have a new opponent. No additional supplies will be given if you’re still fighting the same opponents.
- Character Set-up
- Restricted Skills. Sneaker and Blinkpool are not allowed.
- There shall only be one character class per team. There must only be one (1) Knight, Blade, Psykeeper, Elementor, Billposter, Ringmaster, Jester and Ranger per team.
- All characters will be pre-made Heroes and will have all their skills maxed out.
- Trading and borrowing is allowed between team mates. Trading may be done before a round starts and in between rounds during the 2 minute break between rounds.
- Supplies and Equipment List. Only the items in this list will be used. List available at the end of the mechanics.
- Participant’s VIEW PERMISSION set to “Approve”
- Every Regionals leg is made up of sixteen (16) elimination matches, two (2) quarter finals, two (2) semi-finals and one (1) finals match.
- Participants are free to behave in any way they choose, as long as they do not violate any of the specified event rules, or any of the Level Up! Policies. Players that violate any of the rules or policies will risk being disqualified.
3. MECHANICS
A. REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE TOURNAMENT – Live
Eliminations will be a single round. A tournament bracket shall determine which teams have to fight each other, until only 4 semi finalists remains and will advance to the finals for the right to hold the Regional Representative Title.
Eliminations
- Match type – Single round elimination. Win only once.
- Before the match starts, competing teams will each have a GM assigned to them as the Party Leader, for monitoring.
- Set up for 10 minutes after all characters has logged in.
- After set-up time has elapsed, wait to be summoned to the Arena.
- Once summoned to the tournament arena, stay still for character and inventory checking. If a restricted item was found in a participant’s character, that participant will be disqualified for that round and will not fight.
- Wait for the signal to BUFF and engage your opponent. Otherwise do not move from your location unless instructed to do so.
- Once the GM has given the signal for the tournament to begin. Participants may behave in any manner to achieve victory over their opponent.
- Tournament will progress until 4 semi finalists emerge.
Finals
- This will involve the semi-finals and finals match.
- Match type – race to 2 points.
- Before the match starts, competing teams will each have a GM assigned to them as the Party Leader, for monitoring.
- Set up for 10 minutes after all characters has logged in.
- After set-up time has elapsed, wait to be summoned to the PvP Arena.
- Once summoned to the tournament arena, stay still for character and inventory checking. If a restricted item was found in a participant’s character, that participant will be disqualified for that round and will not fight.
- Wait for the signal to BUFF and engage your opponent. Otherwise do not move from your location unless instructed to do so.
- Once the GM has given the signal for the tournament to begin. Participants may behave in any manner to achieve victory over their opponent.
- Tournament will progress
B. REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT – Online
In this stage, matches are a race to 2 wins and will be held online. Winning team/guild will go to HoDET 09 at Level Up! Live ‘09.
- Match type: Race to 2 points.
- No character and item set-up will be provided. Please set-up before the Tournament Proper on August 1 (please refer to the schedule above for your tournament fight).
- Be online 30 minutes before your scheduled tournament starts.
- Wait to be summoned. Once summoned within the tournament arena, stay still for character and inventory checking. If a restricted item was found in a participant’s character, that participant will be disqualified for that round and will not fight.
- Wait for the signal to BUFF and engage your opponent. Otherwise do not move from your location unless instructed to do so.
- Once the GM has given the signal for the tournament to begin. Participants may behave in any manner to achieve victory over their opponent.
4. POINT SYSTEM
- PVP Rules apply
- Guild War Rules apply
- A point is awarded
- If a team eliminates all members of the opposing team (called a “clean sweep”).
- If the guild war time limit expires, who the system will declare the winner will get a point.
- Sudden Death Match
- This will only apply on ties. Ties may occur if the system announces a draw.
- A Sudden Death match is a normal match in all respects except that all Ring Master Characters will be removed from the round. The scoring system above will remain the same. The match duration is still the same.
5. ADDITIONAL TOURNAMENT RULES
- In case a participant dropped a weapon, armor or accessory during the match, it will not be considered as free-for-all to loot, trade and/or use. The item must be left on the ground until a GM picks it up.
- In the event that a participating member of a team is not present, the said team has the option to fight with the remaining characters present or forfeit the match. Teams with an incomplete lineup can still participate if they choose to do so.
- Disconnection Rules.
- Regional Representative Tournament - Match re-start may only occur if the following happens: Error handler message, sprite errors, a Windows Error Message, Disconnected from Server message, Terminal Crash or Freezing, or BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).
- Regional Championship Tournament - In the event a member is disconnected during a round. The round will continue without the disconnected member. Unless the entire game is affected no match or round re-start will come into play.
- Only marshals have the authority to stop a tournament. Match halt will be announced by the tournament announcer upon instructions from the head marshal. Once the words “Hands off the Keyboard” are spoken, the match is considered paused or stopped.
- Once a character/guild has won a semi finals slot he and his guild may no longer represent any other guilds in any other HODET related semi finals tournaments but they can indirectly help other guilds. (These are, Heroes Crusade Rep, Guild War Rep, Wild Card Rep and other Regional Rep Tournaments that have not yet run.)
- In case an issue has risen that is not covered by the rules or is unclear. The final call will be upon the Tournament Committee, Marshals and Director. All decisions ARE FINAL.
V. PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Players must follow the rules interpretations and guidelines for play set forth by the HoDET Committee, the Tournament Director, the head judge, and other tournament officials.
2. Players are expected to behave in a respectful and sporting manner at all times.
3. Players who argue with or fail to follow the instructions of the Tournament Director, head judge or other tournament officials are subject to the appropriate penalties as dictated by the case.
4. Level Up! and/or officials of the HoDET Tournament Committee reserve the right to suspend or ban a player or guild without prior notice for any reason deemed necessary.
5. Level Up! has the right to change/delete portions/expound/clarify/interpret tournament rules depending on circumstances as they see fit for a fair and balanced competition environment
