IV. TOURNAMENT MECHANICS
1. HOW TO JOIN
- Register for this event by sending the information below by July 6 (5PM) to flyffevents@levelupgames.ph
- E-mail Subject: Wild Card Candidate Application

- Wild Card Position: (Indicate which wild card position you wish to run for.)
- Ballot Box Character/s: (Enumerate the ballot box character/s your guild will use.)
- Give your “Vote” to the Ballot Box Character of the Guild you wish to support from July 8 – August 26.
2. LIMITATIONS
- VOTING PROPER
- A guild may only run for one Wild Card Position.
- 1 Vote = 99 pcs./ 1 stack of Voting Pieces
- Vote Pieces is restricted to the following items:
- Azria: All Ice Crystals
- Coral: To be updated.
- Votes must be stored in the Ballot Box Characters.
- Ballot Box Character perimeters:
- It should be a level 1 character
- Ballot boxes game account must be linked to the Guild Leader’s MYLU account.
- Guilds may create as many Ballot Box Characters as you need. If you wish to update your list of Ballot Box Character please send an e-mail to flyffevents@levelupgames.ph with the updated information.
- Votes will be counted and taken every Wednesday of the voting week during maintenance. Incomplete voting pieces will be left behind.
- WILD CARD CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINALS
- Tournament Arena: HoDET Arena
- Channel 3
- No job class repeats for the tournament line-up.
- Skill limitation. Blinkpool, Sneaker and Party Skills are not allowed.
- Item Limitation. Remantis Lacotte and Scroll of Resurrection will not be allowed. If a restricted item was found in a participant. That participant will be disqualified from the tournament. The guild/team has the option of fighting without the disqualified member or bow out of their match.
- WILD CARD CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS
- Server: Tournament Server
- Tournament Arena: HoDET Arena
- No job class repeats for the tournament line-up.
- Skill limitation. Blinkpool, Sneaker and Party Skills are not allowed.
- Item Limitation.
- Only the equipment and premiums below will be provided.
- Participants may however use the penya in the tournament accounts to buy supplies at the PK Arena. Only the items available there are allowed.
- If a restricted item was found in a participant. That participant will be disqualified from the tournament. The guild/team has the option of fighting without the disqualified member or bow out of their match.
- Re-supplying
- Only one batch of premium items will be given.
- Duration: 2 mins between rounds
- Participants may give each other items or exchange items among themselves during this time.
- Participants may buy supplies available in the PK Arena.
3. MECHANICS
- VOTING PROPER
- Candidates and their Ballot Box Characters will be posted on July 7.
- Give/Store item votes to the Ballot Box Character of the guild you wish to support.
- Votes will be counted and taken every Wednesday of the week during maintenance.
- Voting ends on August 26 before maintenance.
- Top 1 Azria and Coral guilds who won will advance to the WILD CARD CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT.
- In the event of a tie the following tie-breaker conditions will come into play.
- The guild that has the higher level on August 26
- The guild that has the higher amount of Penya in its Guild Bank on August 26
- WILD CARD CHAMPIONSHIPS – SEMI FINALS
- Server: Local Servers
- Tournament Arena: HoDET Arena
- Channel: 3
- Qualified Guilds/Teams must accomplish the HoDET Tournament Form and submit it on or before September 2 (5PM).
- All matches are guild vs. guild (8 vs 8) Guild War match.
- No character set-up will be provided. Please set-up before the Tournament Proper on September 6.
- Be online 30 minutes before your scheduled tournament starts.
- Wait to be summoned. Once summoned, remain in your designated area and wait for the item check.
- The Match begins when the Tournament Marshal announces Buffs On! And Shouts Fight! Participants may now behave in any way as long as it’s within the rules.
- Match Type: Race to 2 wins Guild War Match.
- WILD CARD CHAMPIONSHIPS – FINALS
- Server: Tournament Server
- Tournament Arena: HoDET Arena
- Qualified Guilds/Teams must accomplish the HoDET Tournament Form and submit it on or before September 9 (5PM) with the information below.

- E-mail Info: Send the following information for all your members.

- In the event that the tournament account does not reach a participant because of the inaccurate information provided. The affected guild will fight without that participant.
- All matches are guild vs. guild (8 vs 8) Guild War match. No class repeats.
- Tournament Accounts will be e-mailed to the guild leader on September 18 (10PM).
- No character set-up will be provided. Please set-up before the Tournament Proper on September 20 (1PM).

4. POINT SYSTEM
- SEMI FINALS - Race to 2 wins in a guild war match.
- Guild War Rules apply
- A point is awarded
- If a team eliminates all members of the opposing team (called a “clean sweep”).
- If the allotted guild war time is used up, the guild declared the winner by the system will be awarded a point. 5 minutes match time ends without either team’s complete elimination, the team with the HIGHER number of surviving members will gain one point.
- If the match time ends and both teams have the same number of surviving members, both teams will gain one point.
- Sudden Death Match
- If a tie will result in both teams earning a total of 2 points, the Sudden Death match will come into play until 1 guild wins.
- A Sudden Death match is a normal match in all respects except that all Ring Master Characters will be removed from the match. The scoring system above will remain the same. The match duration is still 5 minutes.
- FINALS - Race to 3 points in a 3-way DCGW.
- Guild War Rules apply
- How to score a point: Your guild must have the highest score after the DCGW.
5. ADDITIONAL TOURNAMENT RULES
- In the event a member is disconnected during a match. The match will continue. Massive player disconnections during the DCGW will not result in a re-match.
- Other major connection problems during the DCGW proved to be brought about, directly or indirectly, by LUG (ex. emergency server maintenance, etc.) will result to a re-scheduling of the affected match.
- A guild/participant found out to have exploited a bug or employed a third party program, whether known or unknown, will automatically be disqualified from the Tournament and the bug abuser/s / hack program users will be penalized according to Flyff’s gaming policies.
- In the event of an issue has risen that is not covered by the rules or is unclear. The final call will be upon the Tournament Marshals, Tournament Judge and Tournament Director. All decisions ARE FINAL.
V. PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Players must follow the rules interpretations and guidelines for play set forth by the HoDET Committee, the Tournament Director, the head judge, and other tournament officials.
2. Players are expected to behave in a respectful and sporting manner at all times.
3. Players who argue with or fail to follow the instructions of the Tournament Director, head judge or other tournament officials are subject to the appropriate penalties as dictated by the case.
4. Level Up and/or officials of the HoDET Tournament Committee reserve the right to suspend or ban a player or guild without prior notice for any reason deemed necessary.
5. Level Up has the right to change/delete portions/expound/clarify/interpret tournament rules depending on circumstances as they see fit for a fair and balanced competition environment.
