FULL CONTEST MECHANICS

  • DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
    • Eligibility
      • Contest is open to all Filipino photography hobbyists and amateur photographers, of all ages
      • Interested individuals may register at the Nokia booth on November 7 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
    • Categories
      • Digital Single Lens Reflex Camera (SLR)
      • Digital Compact Camera (point and shoot)
    • Theme
      • UNITED WE PLAY: Images of the Level Up! Nation
    • General Guidelines
      • All photos must be taken during the Level Up! Live 2009 event at the World Trade Center from November 6 to 8 only.
      • You may submit up to 10 entries. One (1) photo will be considered as one (1) entry.
      • The photo must be labeled/named in this format: Name of Participant, Title of Entry
      • All entries must be uploaded (submitted) at the Nokia booth between 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on November 8 (Day 2). Entries submitted beyond 4:00 PM will not be accepted.
      • Criteria for judging:
        • Relevance to the theme – 25%
        • Composition – 15%
        • Creativity – 25%
        • Technical Quality – 15%
        • Overall Impression – 20%
      • Note that “amateur photographers” are defined as people who practice photography as a hobby and not for profit. Therefore, you should not have any previously published work that has been commissioned and paid for by another individual, company or group.
      • Judges decision is final.
      • Level Up! will have unrestricted right to use all submitted entries for an unlimited period of time for the promotion of Level Up!, its community and its events.
      • Failure to comply with the rules and regulations shall automatically disqualify the participant.
      • Level Up! Inc. reserves the right to disqualify any entry deemed inappropriate for the contest.
      • Level Up!’s employees, event suppliers, event partners and their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity are disqualified from entering this contest.
      • Winners will be announced onstage during the Level Up! Live program and on the Level Up! Live 2009 website.

        • 1st place – P5,000 worth of LU! credits
        • 2nd place – P3,000 worth of LU! credits
        • 3rd place – P2,000 worth of LU! credits
      • Compact
        • 1st place – P3,000 worth of LU! credits
        • 2nd place – P2,000 worth of LU! credits
        • 3rd place – P1,000 worth of LU! credits
      • Prizes will be awarded 30 working days after the announcement of winners.
  • MOBILE PHOTOGRAPHY
    • Eligibility
      • Contest is open to all LU! Live 2009 event attendees, of all ages
      • Interested individuals may register at the Nokia booth on November 7 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
    • Categories
      • Pre-event Category
        • Take photos of people and scenes before LU! Live 2009. The entry must be related to the event and the theme of the competition. (e.g. photos of early birds camping out, preparation of cosplay outfit, etc.)
      • Post-event Category
        • Capture interesting people and scenes as the actual LU! Live 2009 event unfolds (e.g. cosplayers walking around the venue, tournament participants in action, etc.)

      • UNITED WE PLAY: Images of the Level Up! Nation
