The mechanics for the tournament is posted below:

I. Eligibility:
• Open to all registered K.O.S. players.
• Participating teams must consist of 5 members.

II. Registration:
• Show up at the designated venue on the specified date of the tournament.
• Sign up with GM Zeta who is present at the location. He serves as the official for the tournament and will assist teams who wish to register.
• Registration is on a “first come, first served” basis.
• All players regardless of what city/town they reside in are allowed to register.

• A MINIMUM of 8 teams and a MAXIMUM of 32 team slots are available.
o Should a venue not be able to yield the MINIMUM of 8 teams, Ground Zero will be cancelled for that venue.

• Inform the Field Marshal if your team is already a part of an EXISTING clan in-game, or if your team is not part of any in-game clan.

• For teams that are not yet part of an EXISTING in-game clan:
o Properly inform GM Zeta that your team is not a member of an EXISTING in-game clan.
o The tournament official will guide you on the registration process for NEW clans.
o Once registration is complete, your team will be eligible to join the tournament.

• If a NEW clan has 2 teams (10 members) participating on the same day, the system will allow those teams to accumulate points as a clan on that day.
o The first NEW clan to register a valid clan name will be treated as that clan`s team 1. In order for a team from another venue to contribute for the NEW clan`s points, they should coordinate with team 1 and input the same clan name registered (correct spelling and capitalization) in order to count as that new clan`s team 2.

• Two teams per clan (new clan or old clan, 5-members per team) will be allowed to register.

III. Mechanics:
• Teams must designate a Team Captain who will handle all decisions for the team. The tournament official will only consider decisions made by the team captain as final for the entire team.
• Each team shall consist of 5 members belonging to the same clan.
• Teams must be present and complete by the time their match schedule starts.

• Setup period is STRICTLY 5 minutes ONLY.
o Players may change the keyboard configuration, weapon handedness, and mouse sensitivity.
o Players may select their primary weapons and backpack alternate weapons.
o Players may purchase any weapon that isn`t already owned by the character and use that as their primary and/or alternate weapon.
o Players may not change their class nor delete/create characters.
o Players may bring their own keyboard, mouse, headset for the tournament.
o The café management per location has the right to refuse participants from changing the PC settings, or not allow participants to use contestant`s hardware. In that case, participants will have to make do with only the settings that can be changed.

• Players who fail to take advantage of the 5 minute setup time must begin playing with whatever configuration and character setup they are left with. No time extension for the setup will be given.
• If teams are incomplete by the end of the setup period the team with the most members will automatically win.
• A toss coin will settle which team will be on which side for the first set (red or blue).
• If a player gets disconnected, the game will still continue, and the disconnected player must log back in again as soon as possible. If an entire team gets disconnected, the opposing team will automatically win.

• If both teams get disconnected, the following rules will apply:
o If the disconnection occurred within the first 5 minutes of the game, the entire match will be restarted.
o If the disconnection occurred after the first 5 minutes of the game, the team who has the most points before the disconnection will be considered the winner of that set.

• Technical issues encountered during the event will be assessed by the Tournament Official. Only major technical problems will merit game suspension and/or restart at the discretion of the Tournament Official.
• Matches and the tournament tree will be randomly generated by the online Tournament Management Tool once registration is complete. This is a single-elimination tournament so only the winning team will advance.
