Greetings Warriors of Rohan!

Read on to find out what happened during the RBW: Pampanga tournament held at Game City Internet Cafe at Angeles.

There were a total of 7 teams that pre-registered in the tournament and one team that registered onsite:

1.Team Immortals, Immortals Guild : Torian Server
2.Team IMMOdium , Immortals Guild: Torian Server
3.Team DeathRow, DeathRow Guild: Akhma Server
4.Team XGS
5.Team VTAG, ZeitGeist Guild: Torian
6.Team Desolation, Desolation Guild: Marea
7.Team MM, Mastermind Guild: Silva
8.Team SGX Cabalen

At exactly 12:30, all team captains were called for the tournament briefing and the drawing of lots to determine who will go first. The team of Mutiny was not able to make it so allowed another walk-in team to register on site. That team was XGS (not to be confused with the SGX cabalen team).

The initial matches were as follows:

Match 1:
Desolation vs. IMMOdium

Winner: IMMOdium

This was a special match for the RohanPH team…this is the VERY first match of the RBW tournament after all ^_^

Match 2:
SGX vs.Immortals

Winner: Immortals

This match was another milestone, not only was it the 2nd RBW match…it was the 1st match to be won by wipe-out.

Match 3:
DeathRow vs. XGS

Winner: XGS

DeathRow team was not able to continue so we were forced to forfeit their place to XGS.

Match 4:
MM vs. VTAG

Winner: MM

Another classic match as both teams had good line-ups and the battle was fierce. The furious battle ended with Team MM claiming victory over VTAG.

After the Eliminations, we proceeded with the Rohan Raffle draw, the streets of Pampanga was literally full of Rohan Players. It was like a TSB IRL ^_^

After the eliminations, the tournament went on with the Revenge Phase. With this mechanic, defeated teams could win their place back in the tournament via revenge, true to the core of Rohan.
Team Desolation and Team SGX battled each other for the chance to claim vengeance on the team that first defeated them. Team Desolation triumphed and decided to take on Team IMMOdium once again. Ultimately, Team IMMOdium won and proved that they deserved their place in the RBW semis.

On the other bracket, the grudge match between Team MM and VTAG began. With DeathRow out of the game, VTAG had an easy revenge claim against MM. With Team MM at  a “twice to beat” status, the pressure was on VTAG, but during that time, it seems that fortune smiled on the team of MM as they triumphed over the revenge claim of VTAG.

The Semi-finals was on at last, let’s recap the match-ups:

IMMOdium vs. Immortals

XGS vs. MM

Needless to say, the heat was on! At around 10:30pm, the whole crowd was roaring at the sight of the epic battle between the teams. Trash talkers had a field day as GM Krieger and Wahrsager allowed the crowd to literally “voice out” their emotions. In the end, Teams XGS and IMMOdium won. Despite their defeat, Team’s MM and Immortals’ battle was just starting. The two teams met for a battle for third place.

Those who have followed the exploits of these guilds would know about their “history” together, a competitive rivalry that continued across different games. After all was said and done, Team MM won third place. The Immortals, though defeated vowed that they would return.

The stage was set for the very first Blood War Regionals championship match between XGS and IMMOdium. The teams, both new faces in the online gaming tournament scene arrived at the finals, battered, bruised but ultimately stronger and more resilient at the end. The finals was a best of 3 match up. It was approximately 1:30AM and both teams battled it out like never before. Both scored wins and at the final and deciding round, the team of IMMOdium won.

To quote the team captain of the IMMOdium team Gariath: “Walang mamamatay sa grupo ko! Wala!” . Truer words had never been spoken and thus, Team IMMOdium won the very first Rohan Blood Wars regional champion.

We would like to thank everyone who stayed until the wee hours of the morning (2:30AM whew!) to finish the matches. We hope that you’ve enjoyed competing with your fellow players as much as we’ve enjoyed running the tournament.
