LU! players from the Visayas gathered together last June 20 and 21 at the Parkmall in Cebu to compete for eight prestigious online gaming regional titles, meet with their favorite Game Masters and enjoy a day of freebies and freeplay. If that sounds a like a rockin’ good time, wait till you finish with the rest of the story…

 

ROHAN BLOOD WARS

Warriors of Rohan came armed for battle as they marched to war for the first ever Rohan Bloodwars regional competition in Cebu. 8 teams across all servers gathered to put their battle skills to test in hardcore 8 versus 8 encounters.

Team Rai from the Eternal guild of Torian forced their worthy opponents, Team FightClub from the FightClub guild of Torian and Team BlockF from the Mastermind guild of Silva, to submission.

Tourney contestants and Rohan enthusiasts also had their first encounter with GM Krieger and GM Raserei.

 

FLYFF HEROES OF THE DRAGON EMBLEM

 

 

Close to 500 Flyffers swept over Parkmall to witness the ascend of Legion from Bubble server, who rode high above 11 others also vying for the title of Cebu regional champs. Coming in second place was The Lost Boyz of Shade who fought with fervor despite bowing to Legion after three rounds.

 

GM Atma and GM Wintertsuki were both there to meet up with Cebuano players and give away prizes from Nescafe 3in1 and PC Express.

 

PERFECT WORLD PHOENIX COUNCIL WARS

GM SamHok, GM Shiroyoshida and GM SkyeMist received a warm welcome from the Cebu PW community when they visited for the Visayas Regional Leg of the Dynasty Wars.

16 teams competed for the crown, and among them rose Team Frere of Cebu to claim the regional title and the respect of over 300 PW players in attendance.

Aside from the tournament, the attendees were also treated to a short program and raffle prizes.

 

RAGNAROK PHILIPPINE CHAMPIONSHIPS

7 teams clashed swords and casted spells against each other in the hopes of earning the regional champs title at the Cebu leg of the Ragnarok Philippine Championships.

 

 

Three teams – Sandbytes, Yklarex and Team Naked, all from Cebu, dominated the matches with Team Naked of Valkyrie and New Chaos servers reigning supreme at the end of the day.

GM Chastity, GM Anakin and GM Azrael were in attendance to meet the Ragna-loyalists of Cebu.

 

RF ONLINE NOVUS ELITE SQUAD TOURNAMENT

Out of 18 hopefuls, two teams – Team Ronin and No-Rules – showed Cebuano RF fans who has the most fire power on their side of the region. But amidst the deafening cheers of the crowd, No-Rules rallied and thwarted their rival team’s dream of claiming a semis berth at RF NEST.

 

 

GM Cydie and GM Vazilos presided over the event and gave away pwning in-game items to lucky RF gamers.

 

CRAZY KART GRAND PRIX

26 teams pushed the pedal to the metal, all hoping to finish first and snag the Cebu crown for the Crazy Kart Regional Championship Circuit. And after numerous laps and drifts, two teams – Team Army and Team ANL SSS (Swift Sense Sprinter) matched speed with speed in the finals.

When the dust finally settled, Ivan Dominic Aballe, Corsine Espejon Jr., Steven Sean Quinanola and Raymond Louie Santos of Team ANL SSS stood victorious.

The Cebuano CK community also got the opportunity to reunite with GM Driftking and meet GM Raceboss for the first time.

 

FREESTYLE ALL STARS

12 teams from Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo and Davao hussled and shot hoops to find out who’s got game in their part of the Philippines. At the end of the day, Team Hephep of Bacolod and Team Igat of Cebu came face to face at the semis with the former smashing the latter’s dream of eventually playing at the ultimate virtual stadium, LU! Live 2009 in Manila.

 

 

FS ballers had a slammin’ time getting to know GM Misty during the event.

 

GRAND CHASE DIGMAAN NATIONAL TOURNAMENT

Grand Chase warriors from Visayas rallied to Cebu to witness the gripping combat among 8 teams vying for the Digmaan regional laurels. In the end, only a regiment composed of a spearman, archer and mage who call themselves XenoGers were left standing in the arena.

 

 

GM Cassiel and GM Zemo joined the rest of the LU! GM team to give away prizes to lucky Grand Chase players.
