Pampanga Event

February 14, 2009, Valentines day, dinumog ng Crazy Kart players ang Game City Internet Café sa Angeles Pampanga. Not only did players from Pampanga play, dinayo ng mga taga Bulacan at Subic ang event.

The day started out with free play of Crazy Kart. The most played maps that time were the two most recently released by Level Up namely Pinas and XTORM Paradise. Players were enjoying the new maps until the arrival of the North Luzon Grand Prix Finalists (ACRmaLditah, inthismoment and princessY). Most of the players who watched these three finalists were amazed as how they traversed the tough challenges offered by the two maps.

After a few hours of registration, the tournament started. The tournament was very exciting with players going neck and neck to qualify for the finals. Near the end of the tournament, smoke cleared up, the dust settled, and then there were 8 finalists.

The 8 Finalists were:

After 5 gruelling matches the day wasnt over and so was the final round. Unlicensed and jomx0708 were tied for 1 st place (with 42 points each) while hidz0902 already locked up the 3 rd position (with 36 points).

With one tie breaking match, speed race and random map selection, the tie breaker went tooth and nail. At the final turn and at the wave of the checkered flag, Unlicensed emerged the winner and Pampanga Crazy Kart Grand Prix Tour champion.

Prizes were given on the spot to the winners of the event. Karts of choice were given to the top 3 racers along with shirts and caps.

But Unlicensed wasnt done just yet. He had to race the Crazy Kart Grand Prix finalists from North Luzon to place his qualifying time for the finals. After a quick race at the Great Wall of China map, he clocked in at 02:24:04 . So far since this was the first event, this is the bar to be beat by the next 6 tournament winners.
