All Hail That Golden Dude!
With V12’s release, a lot of Flyffers branched out with their own take on the effects, whether they are indirect or direct insinuations, of the said event. Some viewed it as a positive advancement. Others rolled their eyes and believed that it would only benefit the veterans, the high leveled players of the game.
I am neither a newbie nor a veteran, although I could possibly fit the n00b bill with exceptions in Grand Chase where I typically outlast everyone as Lire, so my own take on that issue is smack dab in between. My thoughts are actually more focused on the Lord System and its actual performance.
Out of a hundred players in a single server, one will get chosen as the Lord and will inherit the responsibilities and perks that the prestigious title offers. However, it only lasts for two weeks. The Lord will also be able to start EXP and Drop Events, sacrificing an appropriate amount of penya as a token of trust, and will also get specialized skills.
You can read more about it on the Official Website of Flyff.
The Lord, however, is only as strong as his supporters, which should, dare I say, promote outright influence as a side tool. Basically, it is similar to a popularity contest but to a greater degree. Aside from being known by your voters, you must at least prove why you deserve to be in the position. Some voters would take being great at PvP a major advantage while some would opt for length of game time. Some would take word of mouth, or in this case, word of keyboard, while others will analyze the nominee from head to foot.
How the latter would do that, I wouldn’t know. I, myself, despise politics since I’m lazy and responsibility burns my skin.
In any case, this is saddening to say but I feel I must, you are required to be of Master level before you can be nominated for the position. With that said, good luck to the aspiring Lords. You have some serious politicking to do now.
Keep Flyffing, Flyffers!
