The LIVE Experience and Chatting with Crazy Kart Model Chek

The numbers are in for our Level Up! LIVE 2008 Live Blog and live video stream — and we’re simply overwhelmed by your support!

Our live video stream was seen by 55, 000 viewers from 27 different countries, while 12, 275 unique users read our Live Blog. The Live Blog readers sent in 22, 534 comments, of which we approved (yes, after reading them all) 4, 643 (keep it clean, guys hehe and no flooding and spamming). Please note that CoveritLive only provides statistics on the unique users for the Live Blog while it’s running, so these figures don’t include the number of people who have watched the Replay of the Live Blog.

Yup, the beauty of this liveblogging tool is that once the Live Blog ends, it’s automatically packaged as a Replay, allowing readers who missed the event and the liveblogging session to catch up on everything that happened.

As of this writing, the Replay has been viewed 3, 306 times, showing how you can sustain online interest even after your event has ended, and how many people want to be part of Level Up! LIVE, wherever they may be.

We had readers sending in comments the moment the blog went live, and posting their thanks and greetings even after the actual tournament had ended.

To cater to the readers who missed the live video feed, we were also uploading recorded videos of the matches to our official YouTube channel while liveblogging. Keep visiting http://levelupgames.ph/videos as we’ll continue uploading the videos from Level Up! LIVE 2008 and the Ragnarok World Championships 2008. Please just be patient as we’re going through a lot — and I mean a LOT — of video footage.

Here are the videos of the best-of-five RWC 2008 finals between Thailand and South Korea, which Thailand won, 3-2, to become back-to-back RWC champs.

Managing the online coverage of Level Up! LIVE 2008 also meant making sure that our online users would remain glued to their PCs. As I previously blogged, we set up chat sessions, since some online viewers were disheartened after the Philippines lost in their semis match against Thailand. GM Cydie of RF Online gamely joined our Live Blog and fielded questions from readers.

Thanks to Crazy Kart Brand Manager Jeff Paulino, our Multimedia team was also able to arrange a chat session with Crazy Kart model Cherry Kubota, whose nickname is Chek.

Here are two pics of Chek chatting with our Live Blog readers.

And here’s Chek striking a pose.

Thanks Chek! Until next time.
