GM Cydie Chats with Fans During Live Blog
Level Up! LIVE 2008 proved to be a great success, offline and online, as thousands of users from all over the Philippines and around the world joined the huge crowd at the World Trade Center by watching our live video stream and following the action on the Level Up! LIVE 2008 Live Blog.
This was a year of many firsts for Level Up! — the first time that the Ragnarok World Championships was held outside South Korea, the first time we had a live video stream (shout out to our COO Pet Syling for Pet TV hehe) of Level Up! LIVE, and the first time we were officially LiveBlogging LIVE.
On behalf of the Level Up! Multimedia team — Online Platforms Manager Kevin Codamon a.k.a. kiven, Editorial Assistant Mel Villanueva a.k.a. Jigsaw, Video Specialist Gelo Obosa and myself — I’d like to thank all of you who took part in the Live Blog and showed just how much Level Up! LIVE means to you.
I’d also like to thank GM Cydie of RF Online, who took part in our Live Blog and fielded questions from readers in the chat session we organized. I’ll talk about the other chat sessions we held during the Live Blog in a future post, but now I want to say just how happy GM Cydie made us — and how much happier she made her legions of fans :)
I’m telling you, from the start of the Road to LIVE 2008 Live Blog to the end of the Level Up! LIVE 2008 Live Blog, readers kept asking me to post pictures of GM Cydie or tell her they said hi.
Here’s a pic I posted during the chat session — just so readers would know they were really chatting with GM Cydie heh :)
That’s Kiven beside her, screening the questions and reminding readers to keep it clean.
Here’s another pic of GM Cydie.

That’s Mel standing beside Kiven.
And here’s a short clip I took while GM Cydie was chatting with readers.
Will we set up another chat session with GM Cydie? Will we have a live video stream of her next chat session? Will GM Cydie have an official Level Up! blog?
We have lots of surprises in store for you. Stay tuned!

Congratulations again to Team Thailand, which defeated South Korea, 3-2, to win the Ragnarok World Championships for the second straight year.
And to Team Philippines, don’t worry, we’ll get it next year.
