Studying Games

Would you believe if I told you that games tell us what we need to know in life? I assume that a lot of people would raise their eyebrows with what I just mentioned but really, believe me, games are also mentors in our lives. Check out some of my explanations how games teach us what we need to know in life…

MONEY MANAGEMENT
May it be game time loads, credits, gold, coins, zennies or points, games truly teach us to save for our financial security in the game. We need money to sustain our game time, for the need of item upgrades, for shopping trips, for potion supplies, etc. I admit that sometimes no matter how badly I desire other items that will make me stronger in-game, I always end up buying things that will just improve how my character looks. I just can’t resist those pink items for me.

TIME MANAGEMENT
Obviously, this deals with time limits in-game. But not just that, games also give us skills to balance the time we will give our favorite games and other stuffs we have to accomplish in real life.

ANYTHING THAT IS TOO MUCH IS BAD
Too much gaming is bad for your eyes, your mind and your body. Too much spending of money on games is too much as well. This just teaches us gamers that too much of anything is bad in life.

PARENTING SKILLS
Did you know that I already have a daughter at 18? Yup! It’s true. I adopted a girl character in RO. The whole experience was fun. It feels like I guided someone to be a good soul. My baby girl also has tantrums at time, sometime when I am busy in boss hunts she summons me just to tell me she misses me or she wants to be with me. Just proves that no matter where I should be… family comes first.

LOVE CONQUERS ALL
Real life or in-game, men will always fight against a million monsters just to save a girl. I remembered my knight in-game way back was fighting against a player in the PVP arena just because of me. Boys in love, I think, are better war lords in game.

CHEATERS EXIST and LIFE IS NOT FAIR
In the gaming life, sometimes cheaters win. Support, help, cheats, guides, etc. in game simply proves that life isn’t fair in the gaming world as well. We have to admit it that cheaters do sometimes win I’m not promoting cheating okay? Just saying!

GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END
Accept it whole heartedly that no matter what, games do end. After spending half a year for a third job or an aura, the aura you are dying for will just appear suddenly and that’s it. What more is there to do when you are already at the top of your game? Life, like all games, eventually come to an end. So just enjoy the ride as it goes!

ALERT and FOCUS
The more you play games, the more attentive and focused you will become. You will notice that as you play, your hand – eye coordination and reflexes improve as well.

How about you what did games taught you about life?
